Urgent Moving and Handling Request
To submit an urgent moving and handling request all of the following criteria must be met:
• The person must be unsafe when transferring from one piece of furniture to another and is putting themselves and/or their carer at risk of injury.
• There must be no safe alternatives for the interim i.e. use of any aids/ equipment in situ will not make the situation safe.
• The person must not be acutely unwell (acute infections will often temporarily affect mobility and medical intervention or rehab would be recommended to return to previous functional level)
