Here you can access information, advice and guidance about care and support services available in your local community.   Adult Social Care provides a range of support and services to people with eligible care and support needs to maximise independence and improve health and wellbeing, whilst striving to prevent and reduce need and delay deterioration wherever possible.   Adult Social Care can support people to meet their needs in a range of different ways, including through the provision of care and support services, through equipment, adaptations and assistive technology, and by working with communities, families and friends to build on and strengthen existing networks of support. We also provide social care support at times of crisis, such as carer breakdown. More information on this can be found here If you receive care from the local authority (at home, in the community, or in a residential home), you may be asked about your financial circumstances to work out if, and how much, you may need to contribute to the cost of your care.
